  • So far, my list is looking like:

    Sasaki and Peeps
    Tis Time For “Torture,” Princess
    Delicious in Dungeon
    Solo Leveling
    Gushing Over Magical Girls
    Mr Villain’s Day Off
    7th Time Loop
The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic
My Instant Death Ability Is Overpowered
    Fluffy Paradise

I’ll probably also watch, at the minimum:

Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp
    Metallic Rouge
    Urusei Yatsura S2
    The Unwanted Undead Adventurer
    Tales of Wedding Rings
    A Sign of Affection
The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil
Mashle: Magic and Muscles (just need to finish S1 first)

  • Because I’d rather it be ruined quickly by low quality than ruined over the course of 3 years by a shit release schedule. I’m extremely pessimistic of the anime at this point because of how much they fucked up its ending by calling it Final Season and continuing to push “Final” more and more over 3 years.

At least PN2 was just a few episodes before I realized “oh I don’t really care about this”, rather than my disdain being pulled out of me by whatever idiot decided this was the way.

  • I read the new nolumes of ReZero and Mushoku Tensei.

    ReZero volume 23

I really love the current arc of ReZero; leaving us hanging with Subaru restarting was really exciting, and this volume held up. It’s interesting seeing Subaru – old Subaru – run through his daily life and, in a new setting, learn he has Return By Death, learn about his allies, and eventually even find out that they actually, genuinely give a shit about him. I hate that I have to wait for March to see the next part of this arc though!!!

    Mushoku Tensei volume 25

I’m gonna be real here. I’m so ready for this series to end. It’s gone downhill since volume 15 and lacked luster since then imo. That said, this was a solid volume with good action. I liked seeing the battle between the Sword God Gal Farion and Eris. She’s the highlight of the series these days. I wish Roxy appeared in this volume, but she was only ever doing things in the background. Next volume’s the finale, right? They’d better give all 3 their own respective mini-arcs, as well as one for the 3 of them to girlboss.

I’m ready for it to be over in December.

  • GOD I CAN’T WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK. They really killed it with that cliffhanger. Frieren’s such a badass, even the way she let herself get taken down, but refused to take her eyes off her enemy. Also, to not tread on what others have said about this episode, it’s interesting that they mentioned other creatures that use human speech to trick us, and that human speech is what distinguishes demons from monsters.

The writing was really great too, with the demons using honeyed words that sound sympathetic, but they turn around and acknowledge they don’t really know what it means except that they get to live a while longer.

  • Might be time to pick up Sasaki and Peeps after taking a peep(heh) at the book blurb of volume 1 and it has me interested, for sure

Tired and unfulfilled by his dead-end job, Sasaki decides to adopt Peeps, an adorable pet Java sparrow. Peeps, however, is really Piercarlo, a powerful sage from another world! After Peeps bestows Sasaki with magic and the ability to cross worlds, the two decide to export household items for profit in pursuit of a leisurely lifestyle. But when Sasaki’s new magic gets him mixed up in a whole other kind of supernatural struggle back in Japan, will it destroy his chances at realizing the relaxing life of his dreams?

  • Assuming there’s 18 minutes of animation an episode (22 minutes - 1:30 seconds for OP - 1:30 seconds for ED - ~1 minute for recap, preview, hijinks), that leaves the full run-time of the TV anime to be 216 minutes.

So that leaves them with the options of:

    1. A 3 hour 36 minute movie
    2. Two roughly hour and 48 minute movies

Maybe they could cut a few minutes off, but movies over 2 hours are generally penalized at the box office for it unless they’re massive blockbusters. I’ve not seen Bocchi the Rock so I’m admittedly coming from a place of ignorance here. So I ask you, but do you think they’d be able to cut out 45% of the content without a negative impact on the experience?
