On the flip site, the biggest proponents of Sarkeesian I know irl also don’t play video games and the few times I brought up video game thing, I was met with disinterest. Twitter really has rotted people’s brains.

I reconnected with some friends I haven’t talked to much since covid. I was making fun of how Meta couldn’t figure out VR legs at the same time that the furries figured out digitigrade legs and somehow they didn’t pickup that I wasn’t making fun of furries and one started complaining about furries. Fucking weird that they occupy their headspace like that despite never interacting with them irl.

One of them was also complaining about his comics being blacklisted on various sites for politics when really, his art just sucks and hasn’t gotten any better in the decades he’s been doing it. The other was complaining about woke games he doesn’t have a system to play them with anyway. If you spend more the 30 seconds clowning on Forspoken, you have issues.

I was diagnosed by an over ambitious child study team member in kindergarten that convinced my mother I had a learning disability. What followed was 13 years of wasted public education because every success proved the program worked and every failure proved the program was necessary.

If it had happened today, I would have been diagnosed with autism and nothing would be better.

I did not imply autism doesn’t exist. I implied that kids who don’t fall in line with their social programming run the risk of being diagnosed with autism as it’s easier then reflecting on where or not the programming is correct.

Advertising/Propaganda doesn’t work as well on people with Autism. I called it a mental illness because regardless of what flowery language society decides to use to describe neurodivergent people, they will treat them like pariahs.

Did I studder? If kids don’t respond the way adults want them to, they get labeled as being a Problem.

At work, I have a freezer with a couple thousand dollars of product in it. If I lost power and only had male plugs to jerryrig the generator into the circuit, I would. BUT only after turning the mains off and padlocking the panel shut. I didn’t have to do that as I just wired the generator directly to the freezer after disconnecting it from the mains.
