You ask the important questions. That is a tough one. I imagine that to most gen alpha kids, an adult using their slang would be considered Ohio behavior, but it probably depends on how Sigma they consider the teacher to be.

Ohio is just used as a replacement for weird or cringey. That’s really it. Ohio rizz is what they call it when someone is awkward, weird, or creepy when flirting.
If you are actually arguing that our accomplishments in space aren’t real, in good faith, you are very uneducated on the topic.
If the US made up the moon landing, we have many nations that have the technology to call out the lie. Yet none have, not even supposed ‘enemies’ of the US.
That one seems harder to ‘work out’, than your assumption that we couldn’t go to space with the technology at the time.
People have even simulated the first moon landing using the same Apollo guidance code used in 1969. So there is a lot of evidence for anyone to work that one out.
Its a good gun to carry if you are worried about a spike of mall shooters in your area. Many of the incel mall shooter types commit their shootings in some sort of basic body armor. The 5.7 round would be better in that one case.
Still, just about everyone would be better off just getting a good reliable 9mm pistol of some sort.
Also, ‘debauchery’, in this case just means more people are happier being themselves, and loving who they want to love, more than almost anytime in history.
These kind of people ignore all the regular kind of debauchery, like priests committing sexual abuse against children.
It really is.
I guess if I had to pick I’d definitely choose the lifetime of prison, but with the harem, or whatever. It would still get old pretty quick, I imagine. I understand the eventual insanity, for sure.
I definitely feel worse for the women in that situation, but maybe they were allowed to rotate out and leave, at the very least.
I have not seen one conservative take on Lemmy that wasn’t down voted into oblivion. Lemmy has got some libs and some actual leftists, but I imagine most of the conservative servers have defederated by now.
Make a comment about something other than beans or jeans?
Believe it or not, straight to jail.
I’ve seen you mention the oil heiress thing a couple of times. The heiress in question is Aileen Getty. She helped found the Climate Emergency Fund which is basically used to fund nonviolent climate protests like these.
The emergency climate fund also supported the Dutch protests against the fossil fuel industry that ended with the Dutch government proceeding with a plan to end fossil fuel subsidies.
The emergency climate fund has had some success against the fossil fuel industry, so I don’t think there is any evidence that this thing is a psyop to get public opinion to be against climate protesters.
It’s very possible that Aileen Getty actually feels bad about how her family gained its fortune, and she is trying to reverse the damage by donating to these causes. If this was a fossil fuel industry psyop, they would do a much better job at hiding who was funding it.
There are news articles about this recent juststopoil protest from almost all of the major news outlets. Here’s one from the associated press.
People are hearing about it.
If there was no competition in the world, would there still be Nazis? If everyone had their needs met, would there still be racism on that scale?
Its a hard question for me. The OG Nazi party was born out of the desperation of post WWI Germany. If the world would’ve come together after WWI and decided to work together on a global scale, Germany would have been rebuilt with the help of the rest of the world, and Hitler’s words would have at least struggled to reach anyone.
I realize this is all a very hypothetical, fairy tale, line of thinking. I am most definitely on team “punch a Nazi”, myself. I just wonder if it would be the same if the world wasn’t a hyper competitive capitalistic battleground.
As a fellow meat eater, I appreciate the spotlight being shown on the cruelty of the meat industry at large, as well as you do. It has made me more conscious of my meat consumption, and I have reduced my consumption of it. It has also made me aware of sourcing more ethical meat from local butchers that are supplied by local free range farms.
I hope that this awareness continues to spread, and it helps speed up the development of things like lab grown meat and other more ethical sources of meat, in general.
Ahh my bad I got whooshed. I don’t get the music, but I’m on mobile Firefox with ublock origin so maybe that’s why. I do get the rainbows and ponies, though. Its beautiful.
Funny, I just checked, and there is a sketchy phishing site at jqueery.com that tries to look like the official page.
The crazy looking food, itself, has decent reviews, but the owners of Gentle Giants used to run a puppy mill disguised as a dog rescue from what I have found about them.
There are quite a few bad reviews about the puppy mill from the mid to late 2000s. Like this one for example.
Some mod authors have most definitely already done that. Only 250$ USD for a hand carved set on Etsy.
Idk about other branches of Satanism, but The Satanic Temple uses Satanic imagery to get Christians to vote against their own legislation and promote the separation of church and state.
For instance, in many US courtrooms, the ten commandments are displayed. So The Satanic Temple began to display Satanic statues in courtrooms, because our constitution makes it so it’s either all religions are allowed in the courtroom, or none are. This got many Christian people to vote for removal of the Ten Commandments in their state courthouses just so they didnt have to see Satanic statues. This is just one example of many.
It’s basically just symbolism to make Christians feel the same way they make non-Christians feel when they force their religion on everyone.
I have never heard of or seen a ‘parent parking spot’. It seems kind of unfair to people who don’t have kids. I can see why people don’t really care to honor that.
It probably depends on slight differences in regional dialect. Where I am from I would say woman and women are often pronounced pretty similarly, while man and men are easier to tell apart.
In my region, woman is often pronounced with an ‘uh’ sound, like womuhn. It’s pretty easy to confuse with women. I have noticed that people in my area will sometimes vary up the ‘wo’ part of women and woman depending on which one they are using. So women becomes ‘wimen’, and woman becomes ‘wumuhn’.
