Oh they know gay people exist, they just don’t want them to exist, or at the very least, bury themselves into the closet and have kids in a heterosexual passing relationship anyway because they believe that is more important than anything.
They see media not as a reflection of reality, but as a way to enforce an ideal “reality”, hence why they’re threatened by women doing things and gays and trans people existing. In their world, queers don’t exist, women are barefoot, pregnant and tied to the kitchen sink, and men are manly to the point of homoeroticism.
One of my favourite games (Transport Fever 2) was declared non-woke. I will hearby name every station after a Queer person, event, or thing. Not even God can stop me.
