I’m doing pretty good. One more week of work before a long overdue vacation. Also finally had a consultation for gender affirming surgery which I am so so excited about. Things looking good at the moment!

Some Lemmy instances will allow users to make communities, however beehaw is not one of those instances. If you want to make communities you will need an account on a different instance that allows it

It can definitely be really hard. The best advice I have regarding this, is volunteering for some organization or event that interests you. I recently started volunteering at some local pride stuff and it really helped me start to meet more cool people

Things were pretty rough for me socially after I graduated. I immediately started to work at a job in town, while all my friends I made at school left. Then 6 months later the lockdowns started and any hope of meeting locals not from school faded. Fast forward 3 years. This month marks my first pride month being fully out, and I decided it was finally time to meet people again. I volunteered at all our local pride events and ended up meeting a ton of really amazing people. And I’m now planning on being involved beyond pride month and being a part of the org that ran our events

I absolutely love working from home. Started in office but went and have stayed full time remote when covid hit. I eat so much healthier now, as I often wouldn’t want to meal prep and would just get something near the office for lunch. I’m able to be home when packages arrive and don’t have to worry about them getting nabbed. I can get chores done.

Plus not having to be around a bunch of people made my transition so much easier and comfortable. Being able to do it on my own terms without thinking about what others may think about me was very nice and put my mind at ease a ton
