why the hate towards a tool that nobody forces you to use?

Right here is the problem, because many companies like Adobe and Microsoft have made obtrusive AI that I would really like to not interact with, but don’t have a choice at my job. I’d really like to not have to deal with AI chatbots when I need support, or find AI written articles when I’m looking for a how-to guide, but companies do not offer that as an option.

  • As a huge fan of One Piece, I’m confused by the co-worker. Are they indicating that One Piece lacks any serious overtones? because the world of One Piece is consistently shown to be a constant hell, where your only choice is whether to suffer on land at the hands of the government, or enter the endless struggle of the sea. It consistently has some of the most genuinely heartbreaking and miserable moments of any anime I’ve ever watched. I cry at least once an arc, typically a few times. I can’t think of an anime that gets any heavier more consistently.

  • Students learn techniques that they apply to their own personal style. The goal of art school isn’t to create a legion of artists that can churn out identical art, it’s to give young creatives the tools they need to realize the ideas in their head.

AI has no ideas in it’s head. Instead, it takes in a bunch of an artists work, and then produces something that does it’s best to match the plagiarized artist’s style exactly.

Again, if it was propoganda I think it would be more incendiary. You’re free to go through the information if you wish, and there probably are some juicy secrets somewhere in the mess of files, but my spotcheck made me yawn. If you don’t want to live in a world with no truth, you have to start thinking about the intent of the author. If the intent of the author here was to plant misinformation, or to sow division, then they did a terrible job at it. What little I read gave me no interest in reading more.

A lot of them look legit, mostly because they are boring. I scanned a few, it’s stuff like the air force’s memo on how to deal with press, or a memo alleging a number of Russian cybersecurity attacks on U.S. assets.

If someone was going to fake releasing stuff like this, they probably wouldn’t do it with such boring documents, they’d put some shit about aliens in there.
