I mean apart from the depiction of the characters, which is really weak as a confirmation of anything, seeing as a lot of Japanse works have the same questionable aesthetics.
I’m not going to search too deep for the sake of my own eyes, but had seen reference to their other works in a post on reddit that go beyond “questionable aesthetics” and into straight up ‘that is a child’
Im assuming by that you mean ‘if the people took issue with it’, not ‘if there was a cultural problem of pedo shit’ (not trying to argue semantics, I do agree that there is 100% a cultural problem with normalising that kind of thing)

One of the things about Japan is that they tend to take community complaints relatively seriously. That’s admirable in certain ways, but what it also means is that you get anything illegalized if you’re enough of a Karen about it, from pedo merchandise to brown people existing.
