> be Linus Torvalds
> creator of the most important operating system for the web
> also has a sick walking desk
> earns a fraction of the amount of similarly successful tech people
> seems happier than most tech billionaires
very based
There’s a locally famous businessman who lives in the town next to mine who just casually shops at the same grocery store as my brother, and he absolutely has it figured out
what’s the point of being rich if you don’t buy as many pastries as you desire and relax in a park, knowing full well you never have to work another day in your life? why bother bother getting richer than that?
Except the fact that he still exists as a billionaire means that others are suffering (if not directly under his exploitation then due to lack of resources, which he plays a part in hoarding).
There is no such thing as a good billionaire, even if one seems “happy” to you. Never defend them.
I’m pretty sure he’s not a billionaire. Last time I checked his networth was just in the millions
Edit: just checked he has a net worth of 50m and makes 1.5m a year: https://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-businessmen/linus-torvalds-net-worth/
wtf are you talking about? Torvalds is in no way a billionaire, and he literally makes open source software under the GPL, which by definition can’t be hoarded
Assuming Torvalds is a billionaire lol
