Unioronically what my friends yelled at me when they saw me struggling to ride a dirt bike lol. I do a wobbly pass by them and hear “GO FASTER!” and it fuckin worked lol.

Something that I noticed about these is there is a fairly wide gap in quality between the cheapest landlord special vertical blinds and the “nice” vertical blinds. The nicer ones are fairly thick so they hold their curve and dont get AS jumbled up as the cheap ones. But more imporantly they dont crack just from looking at them.

You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK tricks for one of the cheapest meals: beans and riceEnglish
1·2 months agoOkay. I was going to suggest making louisiana style red beans and rice from scratch. you can throw in chicken, or sausage, or whatever meat you want really and it will still taste amazing but it is definitely gonna have the soft rice/bean texture. you could add more broth and make it into more of a soup too.

1·2 months agoIs it a textural thing? I wish very much that I liked mushrooms, as they seem like such a good alternative to meat, but I cant stand the texture of them. Makes me gag.
That’s definitely less than ideal.
I’m not trying to support AI but I’m pretty sure the water that is “lost” to data centers is due to evaporation, which would return it to the water cycle. I think the rest of the water use is “closed loop”, so minimal losses.
They had these at the Harris Teeter when I used to live near D.C. The wheels would also lock if you went outside the perimeter they had marked out.

1·6 months agoOr even if they would just let us bond the TV speakers together to use as a center channel and augment that with a cheap 2.0/2.1 soundbar I bet it would be an improvement in dialogue clarity, even if the imaging would be a bit of a disaster.
