Looking for “local” city and state/province communities. A place to talk about local politics, share information on upcoming events/festivals, talk about traffic and weather.
But reality is Lemmy isn’t that big yet. So maybe start regional like how midwest.social is doing and divide it up when activity is too much to handle.
I want an Eastern US or Mid-Atlantic US one.
I’ve made a post on !canada@lemmy.ca listing existing provincial communities! Some are old and haven’t seen any activity in a while, and some are quite new! I started a community for New Brunswick, and the person who created /r/pei made a community here as well.
