Just noticed I was subscribed to both this place and 196@lemmy.blahaj.zone. I’d prefer if this community were on PieFed proper, so I thought maybe it’s a replica of this one on PieFed… but it’s not. They’re both on the same server, but the numbers are actual numbers in the url instead of being spelled out. Huh?
If I remember correctly, the incident went more like this:
You make it sound like not attributing was a mistake, but you intentionally tried to remove it. The problem was never that you copied the code, but that you believed you didn’t need to credit people you don’t respect. Your pettiness is a far bigger threat to the future of Piefed than we are.
That doesn’t show me intentionally trying to remove it. That’s me surprised that the authorship of the cross-posting functionality was preserved.
The missing authoriship that I did was on the themes.
As soon as I realised that the author was unhappy about it (a week later), I removed the code from PieFed. Why is that not the end of the issue?
