All I see is immature-horny, and I pity people stuck trying to work these issues out with those similarly-afflicted, almost and much as I do those so-afflicted and yet preyed-upon by those of us old-and-experienced-enough to have no business acknowleging such issues directly.

As a parent, I’ve seen some shit. As a vaguely-upstanding-member-of-society, the only person I’ve told is my wife, so she can discretely steer our daughters towards keeping such private or at-least away from the notice of adults. To my surprise and relief, I’ve not had to say anything to my sons about their should-be-kept-private behaviors … they are surprisingly more discrete than I remember being capable-of at such age.

EDIT: For most of my life, OP nailed my experience of both horniness and waking-life in general. I made for a bad example of a boy, apparently. That’s not news to me in-general, but still.

Apparently 50% of the population is supposed to feel that way about the OP. You want me to apologize for identifying with that which should alienate? If you don’t get or understand what I said, be glad and move-on; It wasn’t a brag or boast to try to make anyone feel left-out or whatever, nor the opposite per se.

I don’t get a notification in my inbox from that, do I? I’m trying to understand what you’re trying to say, why are you so upset 😭

Fair, and not so much upset as, hey, I’ve now answered this for the first person who asked, and am not re-typing it. Literally, yes, I too am replying to things via my inbox, but I’m not treating comment-replies like private messages either.

I have regrets from my youth that I am surprised and relieved my sons haven’t replicated.

For the rest, I’m glad I’m not a single-parent. Feigning ignorance may not be more moral than calling things out in the moment, across the generational, gender, and familial-divide(sue me if that’s a non-term, I’m not creative or motivated-enough to do better at this moment), but I believe it was less-awkward and seems to have worked-out.

None did, somehow, just inappropriate behaviors in company /not-being-as-discrete-about-none-of-my-business-as-they-thought-they-were-being, and all, save one maybe, have grown out of even that.

so … your “lesson learned” is to not be awkward? did i summarize that correctly?

if that’s your point, well, awkwardness is in the eye of the beholder.

I am very awkward, just no longer a problem the general-public would ever notice and much-less having to constantly keep myself in check now the hormones have … honestly, all but abandoned me, especially when needed and appropriate. Life is grand.

EDIT: I’ve said nothing here about lessons-learned. I can breathe without magically-and-constantly-offending strangers and acquainences today, but I was so used to the alternative for so long that I’ll never get used to “fitting-in”, nor do I want to. I’ve seen what’s broadly tolerated.
