    No, discouraging people from running software with excessive permissions is a good thing.

      --yes-i-really-know-what-im-doing would also serve. This juvenile bullshit one should grow out of in their 20s at the latest.

        Having to type Yes, do as I say! didn’t stop Other Linus (for example). As such, I’m inclined give trying to shame the user into compliance a chance.

        [Aside: does anybody know how to turn off (or specify the language for) syntax highlighting for inline code in Markdown? I know how to do it for code blocks, but I often don’t want the extra line breaks.]
