As a young adult guy without a father figure that’s autistic and thus always feel even more disassociated from any group - seeing the kind of sociopathic behaviour that is being propagated to men on how to be/act is so fucking filthy and not something I wanted to correlate with at all that I thought I was trans for a part of my life - as in “if this is what is a male, I’m definitely not that”.
So there are unfortunately very few things anyone can really have as a valid genuine reaction other than “real” and the like
Exactly. I absolutely agree that the problem isn’t so much that men are inherently evil, but it’s instead society’s expectations of what a man should be and how a man should act. Heck, if I were a trans woman and had to deal with that shit, especially the toxic masculinity part, I’d probably dislike men too.
And as someone who is trying to become a men, I’ve been struggling for some time to find what makes a man different from a woman, other than all the stuff that has clearly not worked for making that distinction. I think I can barely feel the difference, but I can’t put it into words.
