I fucking hate this kind of people, I’m sorry, but I do. My country is full of them, this is literally the default here…
Save meeee, I wanna go to the Netherlands or some place 😭

I can understand thinking baseball is boring despite not agreeing, but there isn’t a sport more frenetic and exciting than hockey imo. Especially playoff hockey.
Hockey is exciting if you’re into the match and/or sport.
He hits the puck, now someone else hits the puck, wow the first guy just hit the puck again, the puck is now in a net, the crowd is screaming!
I’d rather read a book.
For me, it’s the potential for a fight, and the fact that the rules encourage it almost. Hockey checks can be quite something in person too. A check is where someone slams into someone. Bonus points of it’s against the encirclement.
You can reduce most hobbies down like that though.
Read a book? So you want me to read one of the six stories that exist told slightly differently?
books contain novel (heh) information each time you read another book. there are a nearly limitless supply.
team sports are playing by the same rules every time. there is nothing interesting there imho.
Games never play out the same way though. Some of the things that have happened in the middle of baseball games are crazy unique. Randy Johnson turned a bird into a cloud of feathers with a fastball, and the only time the Oakland A’s played the SF Giants in the World Series (Bay Area series) was when the catastrophic 89 quake hit the Bay Area.
Oh, and the rules change slightly every year!
that makes sense! unfortunately theres a lot of down time and no guarantee of something interesting happening, so it’s not my thing.
i like scripted narratives for my entertainment if that makes sense.
No it makes total sense! To be clear, I like books too, I was just playing devils advocate.
My Philadelphia Eagles suck dick this year, so watching them thus far has felt like a the equivalent of hitting myself in the nuts repeatedly for two hours.
