Ah, sorry, I didn’t mean that the meowing itself is an in-joke, but rather that transfems often reference enjoying to meow…? This is way to dry of a way to describe something I’ve learned from memes, but hopefully you get what I mean.
I haven’t yet heard the two trans ladies that I know in the physical world meow, so I guess, I associated it more with the joke references, but I also only really meet them in the workplace, where self-expression is hampered anyways. 🥴
