Back in the day making art was how I was proving to myself that I was more than a tool. Fuck factory jobs, and especially the people of marginally better status within the company. As a technician, my responsibilities were stressful, but fine, kinda fun some times, but the routine and the thinly veiled toxicity in the workshop broke me. Add to that my quite imperfect upbringing and Im at a point where I genuinely fear going back into employment.
