Also, at least in Germany, you are allowed to drive at low blood alcohol. Having a small beer with dinner and driving home is fine. Getting blackout drunk and driving is not.
Here it is 0.16% (potentially permanent loss of license) / 0.11% (criminal) / 0.05 % (traffic infraction) / 0.03 % (if stopped and showing signs of not being able to drive safely, criminal!).

Same in the USA, it’s legal up to 0.08% BAC and then it gets very illegal very fast above that.

All everything kills. Drunk driving is selfishly negligent, and you not driving at all won’t stop others. And yes I said drunk.
