    … Actually had that happen.

Apparently I was the first person who’d ever taken her out on an actual proper date, or at least, in the last decade.

She uh, did share some secrets on the first date, so to speak…

And then over the next couple of dates, told me she’s DID, showed me her sketch book where she draws all her alters.

Unfortunately it did not end up working out.

Which was a shame, I accepted the DID, and her… primary personality, I truly did fall in love with her…

…but, I guess ironically, she was not very understanding of my physical disabilties/limitations, didn’t really respect many of my boundaries, and eventually became rather erratic…

I could not handle the increasingly frequent, total shifts into a literal entirely different personality.

Imagine dating an entire polycule of different people that is all contained within a single human body.

That’s the best way I can put it, in a single sentence.

On a nerdy note, I discovered that DID is literally just a normal person but with depersonalisation, derealisation and amnesia between different brain regions, and things like Internal Family Systems or certain types of OSDD are just different versions of the same underlying mechanics.

Everyone is a system. This is also why certain people with otherkin identities sometimes report multiple forms. The parts are the whole is the parts.

I personally have 18 alters (mostly animal forms), plus an executive controller and a singlet, as if running a human as software on hardware. Certain behaviours and relations seen with alters reflect the underlying function of personality disorders and neurological issues (I have BPD because of course, and also OCPD). You can talk to any side of me you wish, and I can talk to any part of myself from any part of myself. Very deep and interesting psychology stuff–it’s a field of research for me.

that’s interesting, do the animals speak English or is it more just emotions without words? do they talk to each other? do they take over eachother or do you have control over it?
