Before surgery gatekeeper: Oh once you settle in, you won’t need to dilate, just enjoy time with your boyfriend regularly.

Me: Yeah. Boyfriend. Which is a real thing that I totally have.

does it not get stimulating once healed? like masturbating with a dildo should also do the job at that point or not?

Results vary greatly. I know some women who enjoy it and things work well on a mechanical basis … for me, it was painful regardless of what went in how.

I did dilation regularly for a year, tried small flexible dildos, everything. Even a finger was painful.

So I gave up and let it atrophy. 15 years later and I can come just fine from external stimulation, and since I’m not into men I’ve never felt like it holds me back.

With mine I haven’t needed to dilate with any regularity in a few years (I’m six years out from surgery). The occasional dildo seems to work fine.

That’s one of these questions about bottom surgeries I always wondered about.

Wow, this whole topic opened my eyes and broke me a little bit. Of course dilating is a thing and I gather it’s slow and hard work…

What a journey! Mad respect for riding it through - you ladies are tough as fuck!
