No, it’s genuinely good. Just because something is a lowbrow popcorn flick does not mean it’s awful. It’s funny and well paced, the characters are likable and play well off each other, and the production quality is absolutely stellar. Hundreds of people delivered the best work of their careers, elevating what could’ve been garbage into something special. I’d take The Mummy over half of the Oscar winning movies I’ve seen over the years.
