The text on real i9 chips is a different format, so probably. The model number isn’t on the first line, but the second. None of them have a clock speed printed on them since they all operate on a range of speeds (none of the ranges start or end at 3.08) and the last line is supposed to be a bar code. Also the base of the chip should have a gold triangle pointing to the bottom left that isn’t there.

I don’t think so. Generative AI is getting almost indistinguishable from a real picture at a glance but everything matches too well. The stitching is perfect, there is crisp detail in the thermal paste, the light and depth of field look right. Most likely real.

That’s what thought as well, but the writing on the CPU looks blurry/weird - especially the last line. Is it just how it’s supposed to look?

Edit: just to make my intentions clear: I don’t want to witch hunt or shame, I just personally like when it’s clear if it’s ai or not. The meme is funny regardless.

You’re right that last line does look like AI gibberish. Still many points for it not being AI, one against. I admit that I could be wrong. Generative AI keeps getting better and better.

There’s also the consideration that the CPU depicted is an i9 13900K which despite being a 2022 model is a pretty beastly 24-core processor still selling for over $400 USD used on eBay.

            So who would do that?

Could be a dead one I suppose.
