Someone told me that your brain has a really hard time differentiating between reality and things you fantisize. I didn’t bother to fact check that, but I live in that happy fantasy world most of the time now.
If true, that would explain a lot of the internet.

But I rarely have trouble distinguishing fantasy from reality, except for a few moments immediately after waking up from a dream (which quickly passes). It’s hard to imagine others don’t have that same ability when (my personal experience suggests) the people I meet and interact with daily don’t have that problem.
Oh no, it’s like your subconscious brain. Like, if you imagine eating a piece of cake in a lot of detail, the feeling is not actually that different than eating a piece of cake according to your brain.
