- Estrogen -> E
- Testosterone -> T
- Progesterone -> Prog
- Testosterone-blockers: t-blockers
- Spironolactone -> Spiro
etc.
It’s probably a combination of convenient shorthand, and avoiding the dysphoria of thinking about which hormones you have in your body.
