Sometimes I do, but then only it feels great while actively drinking. As a result I drink so much that I feel it sloshing around in my gut.

Normal water? Me. I always talk about how good water is in the (specific) country side. Water I’ve had in my city doesn’t taste very good but I can get used to it.

My grandma lives in a village (well technically we also live there - I won’t get into it (it’s weird), it’s unexpectedly long already) where there isn’t a centralized water supply. So the people living there had to organize themselves (relatively common in Slovenia (but only in places where a clean water source is available)). Most have their own water intake and plumbing but some share it with their neighbors.

The water there is actually decent (calcium instead of fluoride and tastes great). The water from the public water supply actually tastes like fluoride poisoning (I don’t believe in the theories, but it still tastes like our nearest public pool).

No matter how much I hate Slovenia, it’s right-wing populism (our prime minister is Stevanović - yes, right wingers vote for someone of Serbian descent, very logical - like the gay republicans) and repression, the springwater availability and quality is great.

Great, this is a political rant now. Yes, let’s now also complain about SDS, Logar-Democrats and other SDS bootlickers.

I agree with your overall message, public water in public water can absolutely taste like drinking from a pool.

However, small correction and a fun fact: the chemical you taste is actually chlorine, not fluoride. I actually have no clue what fluoridated water tastes like (if it has a taste at all), because in the EU most countries don’t fluoridate their water.

A small intake of fluoride is good for you by the way, it helps reduce tooth cavities. The amount you need is small enough though that you should get enough from toothpaste.

Me. I drink so much electrolyte water each day. It’s a stim and good for me (POTS–roughly, my body has to work harder to keep blood flow to my upper body when I stand. More water means more blood volume means lower heart rate).
